From the syllabus
- 25% for a final exam: comment and analysis of three 5-10’ sequences, from three separate films shown during the semester (May 15, 8:30 – 10:30 AM, in Frey 313).
- On the morning of the exam, the three sequences will be shown separately at thirty minutes intervals (at around 8:35, 9:10 and 9:45 AM).
- Students are supposed to comment on specific details and the main themes found in each sequence, and connect them to the rest of the film and the road movie genre in general.
- The film from which the sequence is taken will be identified by the instructor, and a short summary of the sequence will be provided for reference (including the name of the characters, the name of the director, etc.).
- A short list of 4-5 films to review in preparation for the final exam will be provided before the end of the semester.
